Our trip to Jordan from Israel was an adventure to remember, full of exciting experiences and new discoveries. We booked through Tourist Israel, so we started our journey from Eilat, where we met the rest of our group for the border crossing. After a smooth and quick border crossing, we were greeted by our tour guide for Jordan, Ramsey. Ramsey was a friendly and knowledgeable guide, who quickly became an integral part of our group. We loaded into the coach bus and headed to Aqaba City, where we had about five hours of free time.
Ramsey offered us two options: to roam the streets or to visit the Saraya Aqaba Beach Club, a luxury resort where we could access a private beach and pool for only 15 Jordanian Dinar. The choice was easy, and we had a great time enjoying the pool, the hot tub, and delicious food from the poolside restaurant. The atmosphere was incredibly relaxed, and we felt like we were living in luxury for a day.
Later that day, we traveled to the Hasan Zawaideh Bedouin Camp near the Wadi Rum reserve. We received our tent assignments, and we were pleasantly surprised to find out that our "tent" was more like a room, complete with air conditioning and a bathroom. The camp was located in the middle of the desert, and it was a unique experience to be surrounded by sand dunes and starry skies.
We went on a jeep tour of the Wadi Rum Reserve, where we stopped at different places and even got to roll down sand dunes. The sunset was the highlight of the tour, and we had some time to relax before our Bedouin feast and dancing that night. The food was incredible, and the dancing was fun and interactive. We felt like we were part of the culture, and it was a memorable experience.
The next day, we set off to explore Petra, an ancient city with incredible architecture and history. We walked through the Siq, a narrow gorge, and arrived at the Treasury, one of Petra's most famous landmarks. The Treasury was a sight to behold, with its intricate carvings and grandeur. We also visited the Monastery and the Royal Tombs, which were impressive in their own right. Our tour guide, Mohammed, was knowledgeable and made the tour even more enjoyable. He had a passion for history and was able to convey the stories and myths of Petra in an engaging way.
We had a 2 hour guided tour and then were given about 2 more hours to explore the ancient city on our own. Along this trek we were able to take great pictures with views of a civilization that was once considered prime real estate. It took us about 45 minutes to walk out of Petra to meet the group at Sand Stone Restaurant for indulgence in a buffet that was included as a part of our payment to Tourist Israel. After everyone ate, we headed back down towards the border to go back to Eilat, Israel for the night.
Overall, our trip to Jordan was unforgettable, thanks to the wonderful people we met, the amazing places we visited, and the excellent tour guides who made it all possible. We highly recommend Tourist Israel for anyone who wants to have a similar experience. The attention to detail, the quality of the guides, and the unique experiences they offer are unparalleled. If you're looking for a once-in-a-lifetime adventure, consider booking a tour with Tourist Israel to Jordan. You won't regret it.
